This post is completely random, I know, but it's to help my coworkers and I get some inspiration for bringing new life to our workplace. Now, I feel terrible, but I don't remember where I got all these pictures from, I just found them all on Google, so this is in no way to take credit for anything! It's just for inspiration!

Painting: Back Filling Tutorial

So, here I want to shade this petal, but as you can see I use a lot of black..

First, make a line where you want your black to fade out.

Then, quickly before it dries, use the spit shading technique to pull out the black and fade it out.

Then go and fill in that space behind it with solid black ink up to the black line.

It should look like this! This is very useful when painting large black areas.

(If it doesn't look as faded out as you want it on the edge after back filling it, you can always shade out the edge again to get it nice and even!)
